During the holiday season, you'll find festive decorations, seasonal experiences and that special Wizarding World atmosphere that makes visiting during Christmas feel completely different.
And yes... Hogwarts™ castle lights up the night! ✨🏰
It's one of those experiences that really makes you stop and take it all in.
💚 Grinchmas™ at Universal Islands of Adventure
Now let's talk about everyone's favorite holiday grouch...
The Grinch! 💚😂
Seuss Landing™ transforms into a festive Who-ville during the holidays, complete with decorations, music and plenty of holiday cheer.
You can enjoy The Grinchmas™ Who-liday Spectacular, mingle with the resident Whos and even have the opportunity to meet the Grinch himself for a holiday photo.
And let's be honest...if you're going to Universal during the holidays, getting a picture with the Grinch is practically a requirement. 😂💚
But here's another reason I love Grinchmas: it's not just about the little ones. The Grinch's sarcasm and attitude make this one of those holiday experiences that adults can enjoy just as much as the kids!
🎅 Universal's Holiday Parade Featuring Macy's
If you love a good Christmas parade, you're going to want to make time for this one!
Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's brings larger-than-life balloons, floats and some familiar favorite characters into the streets of Universal Studios Florida.
You'll see appearances from characters including the Minions, along with characters from DreamWorks Animation's Shrek and Madagascar films.
It's colorful, festive and definitely one of those experiences that can make you feel like a kid again. 🎈🎄
And if you're someone who likes to plan ahead for the best viewing opportunities, this is something I would definitely keep on your radar when planning your holiday trip.

And now we have something brand new for the holiday season at Epic Universe!
Get ready for Snoggletog at How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk! 🐉🎄
Snoggletog is the Viking holiday celebration in the Isle of Berk, and Universal is bringing the festive spirit to life throughout the land.
If your family loves How to Train Your Dragon, this is definitely something you'll want to check out.
And I absolutely love that Universal is continuing to add holiday experiences to Epic Universe, giving guests even more reasons to explore the newest Universal theme park during the holiday season.
🎮 Holiday Fun at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™
Yes, even SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ gets in on the holiday fun! 🍄🎄
The colorful world of Super Nintendo gets dressed up for the season, adding festive touches to an already incredibly immersive area.
So if you're visiting Epic Universe during the holidays, don't just rush through SUPER NINTENDO WORLD to get to the rides. Take a little time to look around and enjoy the seasonal details!
🎄 The Holidays Don't Stop When You Leave the Parks
One of my favorite things about Universal Orlando is that the holiday atmosphere doesn't necessarily end when you leave the theme parks.
Universal Orlando's hotels get in on the celebration too!
You'll find seasonal décor, festive food and holiday offerings throughout the resorts.
And if you're staying at a Universal hotel, you're also able to take advantage of some pretty great benefits that can make a holiday vacation even easier.
Depending on the hotel and package, guests can enjoy perks such as Universal Express Unlimited at select Signature Collection hotels, Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation to get around the resort.
So your hotel can actually become part of your holiday experience—not just the place where you sleep!
🍪 Food, Drinks & Holiday Treats
Okay...we can't talk about the holidays without talking about FOOD! 😂🎄
Universal brings out seasonal food and drinks throughout the theme parks, CityWalk and the hotels.
We're talking holiday sweets, seasonal snacks, festive drinks and plenty of opportunities to try something you wouldn't normally find during the rest of the year.
And for the adults, there are also seasonal cocktails and other holiday beverages available at participating locations.
One of my favorite things about visiting the parks during a special event is trying some of those limited-time treats. It's basically part of the experience!
🛍️ Holiday Shopping
And of course, you can't leave Universal during the holidays without doing a little shopping! 😉
Universal offers holiday-themed merchandise throughout the resort, including Christmas decorations, apparel, accessories and seasonal souvenirs.
There's also a Holiday Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida, where you'll find even more seasonal merchandise and holiday goodies.
So if you collect Universal holiday merchandise, you're definitely going to want to leave some room in that suitcase!
🐿️ Holiday Character Encounters
Another fun part of visiting Universal during the holidays is keeping your eyes open for seasonal character appearances.
Characters throughout the parks get dressed up for the season, creating some really fun photo opportunities.
Even Earl the Squirrel gets into the holiday spirit! 🐿️🎄
So don't just walk from attraction to attraction. Look around, check the entertainment schedules and keep your camera ready because you never know who you might run into!
🎄 And Then There's the Universal Holiday Tour...
If you really want to take your holiday experience up a notch, Universal is also offering a Universal Holiday Tour on select dates.
This guided experience includes special holiday experiences such as:
